Michelle started her dance training while residing in Edmonton, Alberta. She trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Modern and Musical Theatre. Florence Skinner, David Adams, Brian Webb, Grant McEwan College, “Kompany”, Dupree’s Los Angeles and Victoria Arts Collaborative were just some of her instructors and favorite places to train. She danced professionally and toured with “Kompany”, and the Klondike Kicker’s a co-founded performing troupe contracted with the city of Edmonton for several summer seasons. Michelle also worked as an assistant to Edmontons based magician, Owen Kingdon touring and performing in Edmonton, Calgary and Banff. Adding to her versatility and resume she also danced in a movie during the mid 80’s. After moving back to BC Michelle became certified with the RAD and since has worked throughout the Fraser Valley and the Lower Mainland, annually entering students into their RAD ballet exams as well as entering students into competitions and has been recognized by winning choreography awards for her pieces. Many of her students over the years have moved on using their dance training to further their careers from Ballet companies, modeling, musical theatre companies, singers and cruise ships, commercials, TV and film, and dance instructors She has a true love, respect and passion for dance, and loves to share that with her students.
